June 28, 2016 was a significant date for the East Providence/Seekonk Rotary Club.  It was on that date 70 years ago (June 28, 1946) that the East Providence Rotary Club was Chartered.  It was decided to combine the Anniversary with the Installation of Officers and induction of new member Jennifer Hyde.  But the highlight of the evening was a special tribute to long-time member Bill Donnelly.  The Metacomet Country Club in East Providence was the setting, with Past District Governor Joe Clancy as the emcee, and District Governor Kristine David as the Installing Officer.

Several of Bill Donnelly's family and friends attended the event.  Unfortunately, Bill did not attend as he was hospitalized on the morning of the event, but at his insistence, his wife Ella (who is an Honorary member of the club) and two of his daughters attended.  It was a fitting tribute to a fine gentleman and a proud Rotarian.
